Teen tasked to teach coding to pupils and teachers in Chatsworth

Please join a workshop focused on engaging STEM teachers on the dynamics of STEM education in primary and secondary schools in South Africa. The workshop will provide a global overview of STEM education and the challenges and opportunities facing learners in achieving their full potential for success in school, and what follows in tertiary education and the workplace. The workshop is intended for teachers who instruct in STEM subjects at community-based schools.

The Nelson Mandela Community Youth Centre in Chatsworth Durban is collaborating with partners in the USA to launch a Coding Camp for high-school students in Chatsworth, Durban in the spirit of Madiba for Nelson Mandela Month.

This learning session is one of the first one-day workshops that introduces students in grade 8 and grade 9 to beginner coding skills for problem-solving.

This two-day workshop introduces students in grade 6 and grade 7 to beginner coding concepts through problem-solving.
